Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in Game Of Thrones, moves from the mythical land of Westeros to Italy in the year 79 A.D.
The movie Pompeii is set in the days leading up to the eruption of
Mt. Vesuvius, when a slave on a ship heading for Naples attempts to get
home to save the woman he loves and his best friend, a gladiator trapped
inside the city's coliseum.
Don't confuse the director of this movie, Paul W.S. Anderson, with
Oscar nominated director Paul Thomas Anderson, who directed There Will
Be Blood.
The greatest thing going for the movie? Emmy and Oscar winner Julian
Fellowes, (Gosford Park and Downton Abbey), fine-tuned the screenplay.
